Turkey Weekend Thrifting, Japanese Plates & Jackson 5 Records

My surreal Thanksgiving weekend is already over, it was the first four days I've had off from work in a row in a year and two months. I don't know when I'll have another long weekend, so I'll savor my favorite pictures and dream of another some day in the future.



I found this awesome Horizon Otagiri hand crafted Japanese plate set at Goodwill for about $15.00 total.





Here's the back of one plate.



I admired colorful Japanese neko bowls at World Marketplace and resisted their hypnotic pull.



But I didn't resist a new bento box, air tight canister, and detailed Japanese erasers which I'll use as art pieces. The erasers weren't cheap, but they're incredibly detailed and I couldn't resist their beauty.

Who could ruin these artistic creations by using them for their intended purpose? All the food pieces are detachable, you can even remove the tail from the shrimp tempura!



I also found five Jackson 5 Records and my favorite Stevie Wonder album at an antique store. All of these records are good, it's hard to pick a favorite. Right now it's "Got to be there" as it features one of my favorites "I Wanna Be Where You Are." I listened to "Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing" from the Stevie Wonder record at least 5 times this weekend.



This is my favorite shot from this weekend, it's taken in the Orange Park Mall parking lot. The sun sets on the weekend. I resist the temptation to pay for a small, overpriced carnival and simply take pictures.
