Don't you love the refresh mind and creative energy that comes with exploring new surroundings? I'm looking through old photos, this time sharing more shots of decaying art deco beauty in Miami's South Beach. I'm planning more trips to explore art museums, architecture, and culture. Travel really is good for the soul, even if it's for a few days. (Also see: Miami Vice 1)
Do you have any kitschy travel planned? I'd love to hear them! I'd love to check out all the sights in Weird Florida and move on to the rest of the US from there...of course sharing unseen/published spaces along the way!
Isnt there that "freak town" place where all the old circus worker retired to? Gibsonville or something like that? I think that would be an awesome place to check out! Otherwise Weeki Watchi, is straight out of the seventies. The mermaid place....very Kitchy, I don't think that place has been updated since it opened. Its pretty awesome! Mermaid shows are so much fun!

ReplyDeleteWe went to one of those warms springs place where we swirled around in the warm sulfur smelling water for a couple hours. Strangely interesting.
Yay, got your e-mail, thanks :D I need to check out one of those things! I've been to them but never any in Florida. The ones in Puerto Rico made me pass out as a 7 year old and again when I visited in my twenties. I stayed in way longer than recommended both times, oops.
