Exploring Fort Clinch at Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach, Florida on a Bright, Chilly Day

On a whim AJ and I decided to explore something new and drove out to Fernandina Beach to explore Fort Clinch, a World War II fort that wasn't used in active warfare. I could spent the day photographing the way light fell in the cells, the architecture and textures. It was a sprawling fort with multiple rooms to explore. The whole park has a lot more to see and do, so we're excited that a repeat visit will be rewarding. On the way back we stopped by a thrift store with a cat garden and cat adoption center and rode a ferry back to Mayport Beach/Jacksonville right in time to see the sunset. We've been doing a ton of working indoors, but I want a day like this every single time AJ's off!
