Sneak Peek at My New Office: Workspace and Reselling Headquarters

I've been working tirelessly the past couple of weeks trying to pedantically organize hundreds of bits of things to sell and craft with lately. I thought I'd stop to share a real-time peek at how my new "reselling headquarters" and workspace is coming out:

The bookshelves to the right of my computer are stuffed full of my favorite animated/horror/cult classic films and vintage/art books galore. They make me feel cozy and comfortable as I type here.

I'm still working it out, but attractive open storage solutions help me throughout the workday. I'm always packaging, cutting, pasting, and generally making a big mess. All part of the creative process!

And favorite toys and collectibles out on display put a big smile on my face, too. The framed "art" on the upper right is a collectible Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animation cell!

Oh, and there are far more supplies were these came from that I'll have to figure out how to effectively organize for maximum efficiency...

And with plenty of windows I've always at least got a peek at the outside world while I work, cloistered away inside. The Florida heat out there is hotter than 2,000 blazing suns so it's safer in here anyways!

And a silly Yuko is always around to keep my company while I write, package thing, go through boxes of merchandise, craft, or take pictures!

My new workspace is far from done, but I feel more comfortable working in a combined "office/dining room" area than in a designated office. Things are definitely on the right track!

What's your workspace like? What do you need around to keep you happy and comfortable while you plug away? :)

  1. It's nice to see your office finally clean! I felt terrible with how much you were having to go through just to get your work done!

    1. Oh, there's still tons of stuff EVERYWHERE in this apartment, it's just out of the way. I'm Very, very very far from done.

  2. Van - looks great! You've just inspired me to get my office/craft space organized...which makes a HUGE difference on the mind too.

The other day, I spent 5 hours reorganizing and restocking my booth...I was able to take photos of it again! LOL! xo

    1. Five hours! Dayum, lady! I've gotta do the same and switch out everything at both my booths again soon as well, gotta keep those sales going!

And now, back to sorting getting things out of the way and into boxes... ;)

  3. It looks great! I had to get rid of most of my open shelving organization when I had Isobel, though it was kind of a pain in the ass with the cats, too. Yuko-chan doesn't seem to get into yours, does she?

    1. I stuff all shelves full so she can't get in. There have been few Yuko-chan causalities, but I can see how having a toddler would require different storage situations!

  5. Congrats on getting so much productive work done-it helps me to stay the course and keep organizing here, seeing how much you have accomplished. During the school year, I promise myself that I will use my summer time wisely to organize, but too often, I feel overwhelmed. I have to remind myself, the ruins of Rome can't be cleared in a day.
I wondered if Yuko was in the first picture for scale...:-) I always have some furry body helping me, especially when I type or try to read posts. Shelly is FINALLY learning to lay down when I try to read, but then, her tail is on the keys when I try to write. Foiled,by the "evil" fur team at almost every turn!

    1. I have to do the same thing for myself- it's taking me years to accumulate the thrifted items in this house and get so disorganized, so it's going to take many days to get things as pedantically organized as I want them. I want it to just be DONE every day, but all you can do is try your best. ;)

Yuko is definitely a good scale indicator and "co-worker," even if she sleeps most of the time...
