My Kitschy Halloween Art and Decoration Collection + Halloween DIYS and Ideas

Halloween has a special place in my heart, it's in my soul. My roommate/best friend and I were both scheduled to be born on Halloween. I was removed on the 16th of October instead and Marianne came 2 days late. I occasionally seriously contemplate decorating my apartment like it's Halloween year-round, hence why I've written four posts about this amazing  Halloween-house made by two artists.

There's a manga called Sugar Sugar Rune where the characters are from a perpetual Halloween world. I want to live there. That and Halloween Town from The Nightmare Before Christmas are my version of heaven. Horror movies were my bedtime story, my comfort on a stormy night. I could write a whole blog just on horror movies if time allowed, that's how deep my love runs.

I've let myself get too busy to decorate for Halloween and really get in the spirit for years, but this year I'm going all out. These photos are just the start, dammit. I need more, more webs! All the webs.

This is going to be the best damn Halloween ever if I can help it. Expect Halloween goodness to come!

To get your properly scared to start the season wait until nightfall, then watch this video. It is the scariest short I've ever seen, the timing is perfect. Only watch it if you don't want to feel secure for the rest of the evening. You've been warned.

Some Halloween Posts I Love: Halloween Rag Wreath (wish I had this, got lost in a move or accidentally donated) / Halloween Mini Trees DIY / Halloween Ink Blot Art / Halloween Movie Recommendations 1 / Halloween Movies 2 / Thrifted DIY Halloween Costume Ideas / Halloween Houses 2013/ My Dream Horror House

What are you getting into this Halloween season? I want to go on a haunted hayride, hit the fair, take photos in graveyards, I'm making a to-do list for it...

  1. Happy Halloween month! I love that Nightmare Before Christmas lamp. I'm planning on going all out with Halloween decorating this month, too. Starting with today...I am turning my refrigerator into a ghost. Bring it on! Love your stuff!

    1. I adore but yes, aren't they? When I'm in a weird mood at night (they're in my bedroom) they've scared me before.

  3. I used to love horror movies as a kid. But I'm more of a scaredy cat as an adult...lol!
The thing that freaks me out the most is vintage dolls with the eyes that open and close!
