  1. Those are some choice reads, Van. I love the Big Ass Book of Crafts. I'm actually using the beauty section to make a few things this holiday.

Nostalgic readers may also like, 'Thrift Score' by Al Hoff. It was based on the 90's zine of same name. Though I believe it's out of print, it's easily found used on Amazon dirt cheap. It's a funny read and probably one my top ten list.

There's also quite a few sewing books on how to up-cycle thrift store finds. I think one might be called Subversive Seamstress. Love that one too!

  2. Thank you, my dear, for the recommendation. For inspiration, I love both of the Tony Duquette books -- Tony Duquette and More is More. Even though he was a set designer and a huge name in interiors, he is a genius at taking found objects and turning them into glorious masterpieces.....Happy holidays to you! Stan

  3. Excellent list! Will definitely be keeping my eye out at my local Half-Price Books (LOVE that store) for some of these gems. I recently picked up a book there called 'Garage Sale America' that's chock full of thrifty eye candy!
