Thrift Haul: Vintage Treasures from St. Augustine

Did you go an adventure this weekend? Saturday I explored my favorite city, St. Augustine. On the way to the beach I hit up all my favorite thrifts, yielding some lovely treasures. 'Twas a lovely full day of hunting, beaching, and bar hopping in the evening. Like a true thrift-geek, the highlight of the weekend is the vintage finds!

Barbara, who sells a huge variety of vintage in a favorite hidden gem thrift shop (I've written about here and here) gave me this set of vintage cups (coffee cup sets, I believe) for $5.00. I love the wood grain and the colors!

This cute animated owl couldn't be left behind, even for the lofty price of $10.00. The style reminds me of cartoons from the 20s, and I love the wink. I was going to sell it but he's winking at me from the fridge and I like it.

I have more cookie jars than a person who doesn't eat cookies needs...but he may be here to stay!

Barbara let me have this teapot for free and when I told her I'm always hunting for boat art, she also let me have the vintage nautical boat art piece pictured below!

Look closely and you'll see hallmarks of a nautical scene. A setting sun, a small boat on the horizon, billowing clouds. I love the message, and how the boat is so small in the composition, eclipsed by the sea and the words. Every time I look at this I'll remember to continue embarking on random adventures!

What did you find on your vintage hunt this weekend?
