I didn't have enough time to fully explore Jacksonville's Downtwon
Art Walk yet again but I still left inspired. I felt guilty about the thieves' ransom of pictures I snuck in galleries and museums in my
last Artwalk post, so this time I took it easy with the pictures. I can't guarantee I'll do that for the next Artwalk...
I was evil and snuck a few shots inside of beautiful
Southlight Gallery. I love Roxanne Horvath's huge beautiful fabric art plushie style creations. This glitsy fish was named
Wishful Thinking.

I could have stayed inside "The Next Gallery" for hours, admiring the colorful paintings, glass art, and elaborate felted mushrooms. Everything had a fun retro vibe, it was a beautiful collection.
It's impossible for me to pick a favorite from "The Next Gallery" but you have to admire this huge glass art piece, an oversized bottle overflowing with colorful pills.
Many booths were set up in front of Moca and I circled around like a vulture admiring pieces from each one. I kept gravitating toward Rosaly's colorful booth of twisted sweet things.
The pieces on wood were created with a wood burning technique, the characters really pop and the colors are incredibly vibrant. You should really click the photo to enlarge it and admire the details.
My only purchase of the evening was a necklace from Rosaly's booth- of course I couldn't resist a retro style girl with a bunny giving me bedroom eyes! Who could?
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who has sneaked a few photos in an art display!
