Tutorial: Fun Recycled Bottle Bangles

Two blog posts this Friday! Check out my other post Antique Store Teasing such a delicious tease....

This craft idea is by my friend Emily, owner of Anomaly in 5 Points and Craft Extraordinaire. The concept is very simple, yet fun and addictive. You can amass a pile of these in no time.

1) First, cut your bottle for the bangle. Use scissors or exacto knives. The width of the bangle will depend on the width of the bottle.

2) Next tie strips of fabric, ribbon, or rope it and start to wrap it around. You can glue the fabric in place too if you think that will be neater or easier.

3) Continue to wrap it around and around. Lots of beer and conversation with friends makes this funner.

4) Once that's done, accessorize to your heart's content!

As you can see,  I went a little craft crazy. What....have..I...DONE!!?? I don't wear bangles, nor does anyone I know!

I think I'll blame it on the beer. I had lots of it. You can never go wrong with crafting and copious quantities of locally brewed beer between pals.

Would any of you like the opportunity to win some bangles? Let me know in the comments and I'll gladly host a giveaway for these crafty goods!

If not, I think I'll actually try to sell some. Someone already tried to purchase the one pictured here. It's the only one pictured that fits!

Again, special thanks for this craft idea is due to Emily. Her boutique Anomaly is the cutest one in town, hands down. It's the only one with a bar, garden, and even a tree house!

Thanks for sharing such a fun craft, I can see myself coming back to this one again and again. It's dirt cheap and it's a great way to recycle bottles and use fabric and ribbon scraps.
